Lady Penelope
Penelopes marriage to Phillip was short lived and not a happy one. Maids and estate attendees often gossiped of the yelling that was heard frequently behind closed doors at the estate..
Lady Penelope Escargot-Shallot de Costa c.1893-1918
Penelope Shallot married Phillip de Costa in 1909 at age 16, changing her name to Penelope Shallot de Costa. Like her mother, her marriage was arranged. Her marriage was arranged by her elder brother, Reign. He arranged the marriage to bring more wealth to the family shortly after their parent’s death.
Unlike her mother Mimsy, her arranged marriage was not a happy one. Phillip was 28 years her senior, hot-headed and noncommitment. Penelope had one child with Phillip, a boy named Sebastián de Costa in 1911.
Phillip de Costa c.1865-1918
Phillip de Costa was born in Selvadorada in 1865 to wealthy landowners. He married Penelope in 1909 resulting in with him being included in the Shallot family tree, much to the families dismay. The family did not care for him or his antics, and he did not care much for Penelope or their son Sebastián. He would often times visit his mistress Violeta Fiorellá and their young daughter, Isidora in Selvadorada.

Phillip de Costa
He would leave Penelope and young Sebastián for months at a time to be with his family in Selvadorada.
Tragically, the entire family perished, along with Violeta, when their ferry sunk off the coast of Selvadorada in 1918. Penelope was 25, Phillip was 53, and poor little Sebastián was 7 at the time of their deaths. Only Sebastián was found.

Isidora was the only survivor and orphaned. She was brought to VonHaunt Estate in 1919 by Lord Reign who felt pity towards her, and guilt for putting such a life on his sister and nephew.
Sebastián de Costa
Sebastián had a pet fox named Merlin that he had raised since it was a kit. He saved him while on a hunting trip with his uncles, Reign, Lavaine and Torre. They found a nest and Lavaine killed the mother but Sebastián could not allow the kit to die.
Sebastián Alcorn de Costa c.1911-1918
Sebastián was born to Penelope and Phillip in 1911. He was a bright young child, who loved to explore around the estate. He had a good relationship with his mother but viewed his uncles more like father figures over his actual father, especially Reign. They often times took him on hunting trips with them. That is how he met his pet fox, Merlin.

Sebastián did not have a good relationship with his father at the time of his death. He had given up trying to earn his fathers love and instead turned to resent him. He did not want to go to Selvadorada in 1918 but his father did not give him a choice in the matter. Sebastián perished in the shipwreck, along with his mother and father.
Violeta Fiorellá c.1889-1918
Violeta Fiorellá was born in 1889 in Selvadorada to Camelina Fiorellá. She was always incredibly headstrong growing up, determined that she was going to have her bakery with the love of her life. That was her downfall. What she wanted most was a husband, and a family.

She met Phillip in 1910, while working in a cafe. He had come inside because his new wife, Penelope wanted some pasteries to take home to Windenburg. Violeta did not care that he was married, she fell for him instantly and knew that he was the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with.

Her mother disaproved, but their affair promptly started after their initial meeting, with Phillip buying Violeta her own bakery as a gift. Their affair lasted three years before their daughter, Isadora was born. Violeta was determind to make Phillip her husband, now that they had a child together, though Phillip was never interested. She snuck onto the ship in 1918 to reveal to all onboard, including Penelope of her involvment with Phillip. It is unknown if their affair was revealved before the shipwrek, as there were no survivors.
Violeta Fiorellá
Violeta owned a busy bakery in Selvadorada. She was constantly working or visiting with Phillip. Isadora spent most of her childhood at home with Violetas elderly mother, Camelina.
Isadora Shallot
Her early childhood was neglectful, as her mother was either constantly working in the bakery, or visiting with Phillip. She spent 8 months living in an orphanage in Selvadorada after her parents perished in s shipwreck.
Camelina Fiorellá
Isadora Marie Fiorellá-Shallot c. 1913-1965
Isadora was born in 1913 in Selvadorada to Violeta Fiorellá, a popular village baker, and Phillip de Costa, heir to the Shallot Throne. She had a half brother through her father, Sebastián de Costa. Her early childhood was neglectful, as her mother was either constantly working in the bakery, or visiting with Phillip.

At only age 5, she lost her mother, father, half-brother, and her father’s wife, Penelope when they perished on a shipwreck off the coast of Selvadorada in 1918, thus resulting in her becoming an orphan. She only survived because her mother left her behind with her elderly mother, Camelina, to visit with Phillip on board. Reign Escargot-Shallot, brought Isadora to Windenburg after her parent’s death to live as his adopted daughter at the estate. Reign raised Isadora alongside his own children, Lord Bernard II, and Lady Elaine II. She grew close to them, though she always knew she was not the same. They were of full royal blood, while she was born out of wedlock to a mistress. But Reign always wanted to make sure she was comfortable. While the press had a frenzy when Isadora was set to marry Lord Bernard II, The Shallots were quite happy, as they all loved Isadora dearly.

They married in 1930 when Isadora was 17. Their marriage was happy and produced three children, Lord Bernard lll, Lord Reign ll, and Lady Camilla. She ruled Windenburg with her husband until his death in 1957, when she then stepped down and allowed her eldest son to rule. She passed away in 1965 at age 52 due to illness.
