Mimsy Alcorn Shallot was born in 1872. Her arranged marriage with Bernard "Started off as a loveless marriage, but eventually grew into a "passionate love affair".

Unlike her husband, Mimsy was from a wealthy family. Legend says her large dowry saved the Von Haunt Estate from bankruptcy during the crisis of sausages of 1892. The Shallots founded Windenburg, leaving the growing town behind to their children Penelope, Elaine, Torre, Lavaine, and Reign when they passed.

Tragically both passed away in 1898. Bernard set fire to a painting he was unsatisfied with by throwing it into the fireplace, resulting in the deadly blaze that he could not get under control engulfing him. The fire took both his and Mimsy’s life as she slept. She was 26 at the time of her passing.
Lord Bernard Escargot Shallot IV c.1863-1898
Bernard, a troubled artist, married his wife Mimsy in 1891 through an arranged marriage. He was not from a rich family, as his wife. But through her families connections, he became the founder of Windenburg in October, 1893.

Though Bernard loved his wife and children, he was a perfectionist and hot-headed and had a tendency to take out his frustrations on Mimsy and Penelope.
Legend says he accidentally started the fire that killed him and his wife in 1898 by hurling a large painting he was dissatisfied with into the fireplace causing the estate to burn to the ground. He left Windenburg to be ruled over by his eldest child, Reign. He was aged 35 at the time of his passing.
